Keep your Pontiac running cool with this precision-engineered fan shroud for the Cold Case GPG38AS "Wide Tube" Radiator.
Note, this does NOT fit the standard GPG38, or GPG38A, the "S" designates 1.25" wide tubes. If you're unsure, please see included diagram of the correct radiator dimensions. See here for the standard listing: GPG38 Standard Listing
Upgrade your cooling system with our custom-designed shroud for the Cold Case GPG38AS radiator that delivers measurably better cooling efficiency than the standard Cold Case shroud design. Through optimized fan sizing and precision-engineered airflow channels, this shroud maximizes the contact between your fan and radiator surface—ensuring every CFM of airflow does its job.
While the standard Cold Case shroud is a solid choice, our design takes cooling performance to the next level—ideal for high-performance builds, hot climates, or anyone who demands the absolute best from their cooling system.
Key Performance Advantages:
- Enhanced Shroud performance: Flap doors allow "pass through" of high velocity air while at speed, dramatically cutting down the need for fan usage.
- Optimized Fan Size: Direct fit 14" fans were selected by Monty
- Not sure which fans to use? Check out Monty's independent fan CFM test results to see real-world performance data and compare different fan options.
- Better Fitment: Custom-contoured to the Cold Case Radiator for a truly integrated three piece cooling solution, overlapping the side brackets, accommodating larger fans.
Compatible Fan Part Numbers (14" Fans):
- Spal 30102042 (14" Brushed High Performance Puller)
- Maradyne M142K (14" Brushed High Performance Puller)
- Proform 67035 (14" Low Profile BRUSHLESS)

Good afternoon, all
As a huge car enthusiast, we all search for that one automotive sight or part that can help our builds. Well FastMonteyGarage is the sight that every Hot Rod and Muscle car enthusiast should visit. I have been the proud owner of my 1966 Pontiac Lemans since 1988. After many changes to the car and several different engine combinations the nightmare of keeping the power plant cool is always a challenge. As many of us are chasing the old school high horsepower streetcar dream the problem begins. A year ago, the engine came out of the Dyno room with just over 850hp on 91octane. After upgrading radiator / fan shroud and fans and multiple thermostats. I could not seem to drive the car at temperatures above 75 degrees. After going down many different avenues, I finally stumble across FastMonteyGarage bench testing cooling fans. It was a 25min video that explained a lot of information that I guess I just overlooked. Then after visiting his web site. I figured I would reach out and asked a few questions. It was a Sunday evening and not expecting a response until the following week I sent the email. The response was immediately the answer was answered and the radiator shroud was ordered with the recommended 14’’ cooling fans. The following morning, I received an email from the shop saying I ordered the wrong part and to please verify part number of my radiator, part number was verified and order was placed. The customer service is above and beyond. I received the parts and installation began. The quality of the product is unbelievable Every hole lined up perfectly and the fitment was precise. After everything was installed, it was the first test drive. Temperature outside was 100degrees in Idaho. Car ran perfectly Driver side and Passenger cylinder head temperature ran at 200degrees. (Engine has cast iron heads). Since radiator shroud was installed with new 14’’ cooling fan I have put roughly 300miles on the car. Outside temperatures ranging from 85degrees to 100degrees. The coolant temp runs between 190 and 200degrees with these temperatures.
Thank you FastMonteysGarage for the great service and quality made in the USA parts.
