1968–1979 Big Block Nova Dual 12-Inch Fan Shroud for Cold Case CHN548 / CHN548A

Build your Big Block Nova's cooling setup around a precision CNC-cut, aircraft-grade aluminum shroud made in the USA. The custom-contoured design overlaps the radiator side tanks for improved sealing, while rubber flap doors allow pass-through airflow at road speed. Revision 2.0, released April 5, 2026, increases the design to eight flap doors and improves side-tank overlap.

Vehicle and Radiator Fitment

  • Fits 1968–1979 Big Block Nova applications using Cold Case CHN548 or CHN548A radiators.
  • CHN548 application note: The original listing specifies manual transmission only.
  • Also fits Cold Case CHC11 and CHC11A radiators, plus LS-conversion CHC547 and CHC547A models.
  • Designed for dual 12-inch fans. Contact us about fan manufacturers or models not listed below.

Installation Hardware and Accessories

  • Fan mounting hardware: M6x1 bolts, 16mm long. Included with stocked powder-coated shrouds; otherwise sold separately.
  • Eight rubber flap doors: SPAL 30130012. Included with stocked powder-coated shrouds. Ordering raw aluminum or need doors separately? Buy here.
  • Fan relay and wiring harness: Needed if not already installed. Each relay should be rated for 30–40 amps. Options include SPAL, Painless Performance, Derale, Ron Davis, and American Autowire.
  • Adjustable thermostat switch: Recommended for automatic operation and typically included with most fan-relay harnesses. Monty's personal Painless Performance setup switches on at 195°F and off at 185°F.

Finishes and What's Included

  • Choose matte black, raw aluminum, or custom color from the available finish options.
  • Raw aluminum may have witness marks that can be cleaned with Scotch-Brite or a Magic Eraser.
  • Fans and installation accessories are sold separately, except for the mounting hardware and flap doors specifically noted above as included with stocked powder-coated shrouds.

Lead Times and Additional Information

  • Raw aluminum: Around one week.
  • Out-of-stock powder-coated shrouds: Around two weeks. Please place your order, as stock is not replenished without an existing order.

This is an aftermarket shroud designed to work with the Cold Case CHN548 radiator. It is not manufactured by Cold Case Radiators.
